Imagine if the Doctor had always looked as young as he does now... not quite so sure about the moustached ones but still...

The Davison photo is actually from after he'd played the Doctor. I think it's from Anna of the Five Towns, which was a serial shown in 1985.

The Troughton photo is the one which helped him decide how to play Salamander. According to Michael, his son, it was something he was unsure about, and it was only after searching through some old photos from his stage plays and other bits of acting that he found that one, which inspired the kind of image he chose for that particular character.

How does the Matt Smith one fit the concept? Surely it should be all the actors at 30 shouldn't it?

Is that a real 'cover they decided not to use' Si, or is it a fiendishly good fake knocked up by someone?

Either way.... 8p!! Those were the days!

Or when Christopher Lloyd turns up as the First Doctor in the 50th Anniversary Special.

OH CRAP NOW I WANT THAT TO HAPPEN.
For every fail, there is an equal and opposite win.

    ...Oh, who am I kidding?
