So what have been the biggest spoilers for any of the new Doctor Who years that have turned out to be enormous red herrings?

My favourite has to be the whole Ben Kingsley to play Davros idea. From Gahndi to Davros - an acting career! Although given that Orson Welles provided the voice for the planet eating robot Unicron in the Transformers Movie, maybe not so far-fetched.

There were loads of spoilers that surfaced for the Season 4 Finale which stated that Harriet Jones was to be turned into the Supreme Dalek, and I recall it was pretty much accepted as fact until the episode aired.
