Friday Poll No.28 - Crocs

Croc shoes. The ultimate in comfort-over-fashion? To me they look utterly repulsive, as though you're walking about with plastic buckets on your feet, but many people swear by them.

So would you choose Crocs? Have you got a pair? What's the deal with these things?

Lynn at work tells me they're the most comforatble shoes she's ever owned. In fact she has several pairs in all different colours.

However, that doesn't mean that they look cool or anything.

Vile, though I know someone who buys them from a firm in China for £1 a pair and sells them for £20-30 on Ebay.

There should be a third option to vote for, which would be "I'm a man, they are shoes, I don't care!". Actually, Claudia's got some and she says they're very comfy - plus they seem to be 'all things to all feet' in that she wears them indoors as slippers and o utdoors as casual trainers. I didn't know they were called Crocs until a couple of weeks ago when she kept on about her Crocs, and I assumed for a while that she & Zel had totally lost it and added an alligator to the menagerie!

But, er, failing that I'm going to buck the trend and go for They're Great - and having done so, I see I'm the only one!!

Tim, that's not swearing by them, that's swearing at them. I should know the difference, I've been sworn at often enough!

These croc thingies - they look like half-finished clogs. Can't say I like them.

They do look silly but Jody reckons they are the most comfortable shoes ever. I squeezed into them as well and I agree.
