Default What will be the LAST classic DVD release?

What do you think will be the last story of the classic series to be released on region 2 DVD?

That's not counting all missing episodes, and any that may eventually be found.

My money's on The Keys of Marinus.

    Could be anything. Why Marinus?

I think it'd be rather nice if it was Revenge of the Cybermen, m'self.

It just seems like something that 2|Entertain would overlook until the very last minute.

    Well, it does to me.

I think we all know it's going to be something from Season 24.

Something with Jon Pertwee I'd have thought: The Time Monster.

    according to the naysayers.
And also according to legal contracts, which admittedly hold more sway.

    • vidFIREd picture
    • Commentary with William Russell, Carole Ann Ford, Donald Pickering and anyone else that is left
    • A documentary about Terry Nation's non-Dalek contributions
    • Richard Bignell could go on a tour of Soho's rubber stores
    • a featurette about William Hartnell's most famous line fluffs
    • a debate between telehistorians as to what is the correct plural of "Voord"
    • a tribute to Stephen Dartnell who (I've just discovered) played both Yartek and the man John
    • "Doctor Who Confidential" broadcast straight after the second of next year's specials which features the return of the Voord
    • anything they forgot to include on previous Hartnell DVDs
    • the recently discovered episode three of "The Savages"
    • a text commentary

I'm thinking it'll need at least two and a half discs to do it justice.
Dennis, Francois, Melba and Smasher are competing to see who can wine and dine Lola Whitecastle and win the contract to write her memoirs. Can Dennis learn how to be charming? Can Francois concentrate on anything else when food is on the table? Will Smasher keep his temper under control?

If only the 28th century didn't keep popping up to get in Dennis's way...

because of the poor quality of some of the episodes and quite a few being in black n white I say it's a fair bet a Pertwee story will if not the last be one of the last released. I'd probably say Curse of Peladon , Mind of Evil or Invasion of the Dinosaurs.

if Curse is released towards the end then that might also mean Monster of Peladon being amongst the last released.m

    The Reign Of Terror

It was the last(or joint last) VHS and was the last of the missing stories to be released on CD
