    Default The Frontios Question

    And the question is...

When the TARDIS is destroyed, what happens to Kamelion?

    (Is he the hat stand?)

Presumably he's laying in a tunnel somewhere with everything else from the TARDIS that we don't see.

Don't they leave the hat stand behind anyway?

As EVERYONE knows, Kamelion features prominently in all the stories between Kings Demons and Resurrection of The Daleks and that it was actually Tegan who was skulking about in the TARDIS. So the question should be:

When the TARDIS is destroyed, what happens to TEGAN?

Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

It's no more silly than thinking he's the hatstand. And yes, the hastsand is left behind as a memento, but don't mention ever... especially to the Time Lords.

I can't undertsand why the production team didn't address this. Perhaps they were still cross at having been lumbered with a next to useless lump of silver circuitry or something?

The odd thing is that, in those more innocent days, I don't think any of us really worried about it did we. He didn't appear in The Five Doctors, which went by without comment; my brother & I briefly toyed with the theory that perhaps Kamelion was disguised as the Doctor in part 1 of Warriors of the Deep, and that would be how the Doctor avoided drowning; but apart from that, I don't recall (m)any letters to DWM asking where Kamelion was, or anything like that.

As for the question though, Kamelion seems to depend on the presence of others to be in any real way active, so presumably left alone he was fairly inactive and just sat quietly alongside some fragment of TARDIS.

It couldn't be something to do with his respiratory bypass system. That's TOO obvious.

Or maybe, as he proved, he's just a fantastic swimmer.
