Time and the Rani's unused version wouldn't have looked too bad if it had been the right way up.
Invasion of the Dinosaurs is a great cover, much better than the T-Rex we actually see in the story.
Harry Sullivan's War looks very James Bondesque and is probably the second best one here.
Four to Doomsday is too green, although the artwork of Monarch is very good.
Dragonfire isn't too bad. Kane's melting face is the highlight.

Other than 4-2-Doomsday this isn't a bad group.
Although it has Tetraps upside down I like TatR but I prefer Harry's Sullivan's War.

I don't often vote for reprint covers, but I really love that Dinosaur Invasion one - well, it is Jeff Cummins, who is one of my favourite Who artists. I don't have that cover on my book though, this is one where I do have the Achilleos original, which is equally a great cover!

I know that the TATR one is drawn, but in fact (other than being upside down) it looks exactly like the actual, photocover. My only real complaint about it is that it doesn't really suit the title - giant bat monsters doesn't really convey Time or the Rani to me!!
Dino Invasion is quite good, Harry Sullivan looks a bit acne-ridden, and although it's nicely drawn, Dragonfire's smiling regulars mean that it has no excitement or power at all - plus I just can't bring myself to love Dragonfire!! So I'm going for 42D - a lot of the reprints from that era are very dull, but the excellent rendering of Stratford Johns' Monarch, and the green colour scheme, really does it for me. Certainly better than the photocover original!!

Dinosaur Invasion for me, it just brings back memories of my youth!
I do have to say that Dragonfire almost won due to Ace's graffiti declaring her undying love for a certain PS member! One Day, I shall come back, Yes, I shall come back,
Until them, there must be no regrets, no tears, no anxieties, Just go forward in all your beliefs,
and prove to me that I am not mistaken in mine!

I'm surprised at the love for the Dinos cover, which I've always found rather dull, especially in comparison to the two other covers for this story which are dramatic and exciting. It's no Kklak!
Time and the Rani is OK, but it's an unused cover, so I don't really count it.
Harry Sullivan's War is fine again, but I don't think the portrait is as strong as it could be. The other bit is very dramatic!
Four to Doomsday is a great painting, but the green on green is a bit much.
I love Dragonfire, I always have. Great painting, nice composition and way ahead of everything else in this round.

Not a strong selection, but I've always rather liked that Dragonfire - I remember it really stood out when I first saw it in DWM. In fact, that cover is so good, that for years after, it was the only Target book that my local WH Smith would stock.

I like the Dinosaurs cover, but then I like Hairy Sullivan's War better, it's the most dramatic.
