Judging by the look on his face, and the way he's holding his hand, it looks like Tom has just punched the Dalek, and, knowing that extermination is imminent, is turning to the camera and saying "Sh*t."

Ah, but he's there in the right-hand corner, just so we don't think Clays's slipping.

Where's that pic come from too? Is it an out-take from one of the greetings card sessions?

I think the Scratchman script was found in JNT's collection.

The pictures (and there are masses of them) were unearthed by The Stamp Centre, who have used a few already as limited edition prints. See www.scificollector.co.uk for more of 'em, including some gorgeous ones of the Fourth Doctor in Egypt.

How wonderful though - new old Doctor Who photos!

Would I be right in remembering that Clay was not saying the nicest of things about Original Series in Confidential? If that's the case, has anyone read this issue's editorial yet?

#yes i've read it and have to say he's pretty much saying the same old thing in that new series is the priority and if you don't like it tough luck.

At the same time stating we've got some OS stuff for you this issue and saying how great it is as well... Hmm...

I can't stand the Stamp Centre. Fair enough flogging the old photos, but I can't stand this "hurry while stocks last" business. Oooh, is there a shortage on how much ink you have?

Mine came today - I've enjoyed what I've read so far, although it's niggling to find that the absence of the JNT-bitching from the Time Team is 'made up for' by the review of The Beginning, which basically says Traken is the best of the three, and even that ain't all that!

Most interesting, though, is the next issue box, which says that it will include the preview for the first episode of the next series - which would suggest a (hoped for) transmission date of 24th March (ie, the same weekend as in 2005, rather than being tied to the movable feast of Easter).

have pretty much read 3/4's of it so far and I can't say there's been an awful lot to interest me - even the article on the propposed film pretty much seems like we've all read it before .

The Six Nations and Dancing On Ice both end on the 17th March, so the 24th would be good. There will be sod all else on that Saturday.

That's probably because only Garry Bushell, Ally Ross, Kevin O'Sullivan and about 10-15% of Who fandom thought The Runaway Bride was shite. Circulation will plummet if the mag panders to minority groups.

I ripped out the Runaway Bride review from my copy, burnt it on hallowed ground then bathed in holy water to cleanse myself.

I was thinking that too, Andrew. It's noticeable that the first preview this year is one issue before the equivalent issue last year...

I see that Clayton got in hot water over the John Barrowman "interview" last issue...

I was a bit disappointed with the plot of "Scratchman". Maybe it looses something in the synopsis, but it does seem rather uneven. Almost as if it had been written by two blokes buring their lunch break.

That's kind of my point, from the synopsis it seems as though it hadn't recieved much work after their initial brainstorming, and could had benefited from a couple more drafts.
