Default The Daleks' Master Plan Question

Right, let's settle this once and for all!

Was Bret Vyon descended from Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart?

    Coming later ...

Is Commander Maxil the Doctor's cousin?

    --------------

They do say there are 6 degrees of separation between any two people - on that basis then YES.

No. The actor was reused later.

As an official Lethbridge-Stewart (well in another world anyway) I can safely say that the answer is no.

I wonder if Salamander is the 2nd Doctor's identical twin brother?

    Had anyone suggested he was?

I suppose that leaves the issue of whether Princess Joanna and Sara Kingdom were descended from Morgaine now...

Since Morgaine came from a parallel universe, I'd say probably NOT.

Remember the TARDIS is telepathic - in the same way it makes alien words sound like English, it probably take alien faces and make them look familiar.

In a similar way, it probably translates truely alien landscapes and makes them look like the same gravel pit.

"The brothers Grimm also discovered consonental shift..."
"Macmillan, Millan, Camilla... Lethbridge-Stewart, Lefbrishtewart, Lefshtart, Lesht... Na, clearly not Vyon!!"

There you go, SP, conclusive proof, there's no relation.

    That's exactly my point!

I mean, imagine a BF short story where the 7th Doctor attends the wedding of Valerie Lethbridge-Stewart with a Mr. Tamras Vyon, and tells Valerie that he was a contemporary of her great-great-grandfather.

It's just begging to be done.

Although preferably not one where the Doctor takes Ian and Barbara to Tigella, Barbara gets cloned and, generations later, her descendant becomes High Priestess of the Deons.

...Somehow, I never thought of that!
