    Default Look-In!

Ok this is a bit retro but who remembers top comic Look-In?

Did you have any favourite strips?

    Still got any comics?

    Or the annuals?

I used to get Look In and can't wait for the Best of the 80s book to come out in October.

Dennis, Francois, Melba and Smasher are competing to see who can wine and dine Lola Whitecastle and win the contract to write her memoirs. Can Dennis learn how to be charming? Can Francois concentrate on anything else when food is on the table? Will Smasher keep his temper under control?

If only the 28th century didn't keep popping up to get in Dennis's way...

My cousin Becky used to get Look In and listen to Sinitta and Five Star when she was a young girl. Even though I'm older than her, it seemed to pass me by. Now, many years later, she's grown up and busy having kids and being a WAG, I'm interested in this book and listening to Sinitta. It's worrying, really.

I always found Look In to be less exciting than it looked. I had lots of copies I bought at a school fair when I was young and I read some of them, but don't remember finding them all that exciting to be honest. It was probably because I tended to watch BBC childrens programmes!

I did like the annual thingy they did last year though.

I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

I remember some of the odd comic strips the most. Adam and the Ants one especially.
