    "Hello, I'm the Doctor!"

    "Hello, I'm Doctor Baubles!"

Yes, I think we understand now... (Unless it's Davros saying "Baubles to the Doctor!")

    Quelle Dommage, Davros!

I'm listening to the Series 7 soundtrack this morning at work, hoping for the 11th Doctor 'Bom-bom-bom ba bom-bom-bom' theme. What I've got so far is very, very Christmassy. Even the Cowboy Episode music is incredibly Christmas-Like. I don't remember it sounding so Christmassy on the screen though.

Perhaps Christmas is Murray Gold's default sound? I'll have a bit more of a listen and try to isolate the 'Christmas Instrument' that is giving it this feel. Is it the strings? The bells? The all round polish of the thing?

Honestly, I could be listening to the soundtrack to 'Edward Scissorhands'.

Hang on a minute - I thought they had no money and so all of the music was from recycled bits for The Day of The Doctor?

This would, as I recall, have been the point where The Lads were asked to massage HTV West's finances...

Turns out that The Day of the Doctor is one of Murray's best scores. It's fantastic - epic and moving. Such a shame not all of it made it to the screen.
