I was suprised when 42 went out and Evolution of the Daleks stayed in.
I was surpised at how soon Midnight and School Reunion went out
I was even more surprised to see someone gunning for Utopia just after Blink went out!

Fortunately G'i't'f'ace (Girl in the Fireplace), Tooth and Claw or Army of Goats didn't win or my surprise would have been forced to turn into incredulity.

Mediocrity will always win with so many personal agendas to contend with.

Rubbish! I thought Fires of Pompeii was a fabulous episode. For a story that stands on it's own rather than being an 'experimental' or an 'event' story, it's excellent. The production feels ten times more expensive than usual, the story is strong and the ending with the Doctor rescuing Caecillius's family at Donna's request is marvellous.

    I'm 100% behind this winning!
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

Catherine Tate's 'Just save someone' scene is the only good bit in it.

I wouldn't even've minded if 'Turn Left' had won. It's much more interesting than bog standard tFoP.

I think the victory can be pinned on one performance...
