Default Si Hart Camps It Up With The Stars: New Series Begins NOW!

    Hello everyone!

Those of you with long memories will remember of course, back in the day I used to spend my time whoring it round the Doctor Whoe vents having my phot taken with the stars of TV's Doctor Who and standing back to back with them, whether they liked it not.

After a long hiatus, I'm pleased to say, there's all new Camping It Up! Yes, I've decided the time has come to go for it again... meet some people I've never met before, redo some old favourites and generally just start standing back to back with people again.

    I'm certain you're all delighted!

Anyway, over the course of the next week or so I'll be sharing some new photos and possibly reposting some old favourites too along the way...

But here we go with an all new camp!

Yesterday I might one of the icons of Doctor Who (in my eyes anyway). Last time we saw her she was painted silver and turned into a stone before the amazed boggling eyes of Tom Baker... yesterday I met her, the one and only....

    SUSAN ENGEL!

I asked for a photo. She agreed of course and then I asked for the age old back-to-back. She laughed and asked what that was all about, and I explained about the classic back-to-back Pertwee and Troughton shot and that it was something I do... "You're mad!" she exclaimed! But you know, she did a great effort I think!
It's a great start and she was lovely. Someone I've always wanted to meet.

Tune in soon for more camping it up fun!

    Si xx

Have you somehow invented a new expression for the return? I think it might be so!

I had real trouble suspending disbelief with her. I think partly because we've never seen Susie before, and partly because Vivean Fay was posing as a contemporary Earth lady in the story, every time I looked into her eyes I saw this evil glint! I began to search her neck for an unusual pendant..

Don't we all. I feel she may be somewhat difficult to track down these days!

Si: I think that's one of the old expressions- it's just been a while since it was photographed. That's the old I really admire you and am pleased to be here with you smile!

I'm not convinced you haven't tweaked it for the twenty first century.

Sometimes you meet a guest at a convention who you've not really taken much notice of. Of the guest cast of Power of Kroll, this person doesn't really stand out, but he was a fine convention guest. A really warm and witty guest...

    Frank Jarvis

And I think you'll agree he gives it his all!

Frank wasn't someone I'd taken a great deal of notice of before, his appearances in two of the lesser Tom stories, Kroll and Underworld means you probably haven't either, but he was great. He had a cheeky wit, some great stories and was a true gent. And for you film buffs, he was Roger the driver in The Italian Job (and has great memories he treasures of chatting with Noel Coward on set).

Yay! Good stuff! I didn't notice at first that you were both sitting down in the first pic, Si - I thought for a moment that Susan was actually taller than you!

There wasn't that much in it to be fair! Frank Jarvis was a real treat though, very entertaining and witty. Star!
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

Now that's a tried and trusted expression to be sure!

I hunger for the general Key To Time pics too! I demand me and Rossy!

I have to say, Susan said backstage "Who was it that wanted a picture back to back?" She found it most amusing! Do we get some Primrose Townsend action? With necklace of delights?

You know I did wonder what this was all about when you asked me to do this in 2004! Had I known it was in hour of the Pertwee and Troughton fellows I would have done it with a bit of gusto!

Hooray! I'm feeling dead chuffed about that!

Townsend pics to come soon! I promise... but not yet... more delights to come first!

Tamm was intrigued by the notion of a Si and Steve and a Si and Simon.

She doesn't have Crime Traveller on DVD though which is a pity really as she is building up an archive of her work for her Grandchild.

She should've had a chat with the DVD Bargain King.
