Songs game: :), :( or ???
Songs game: or
I had this idea for a very simple game - simple is the key word here.
Basically I start off by mentioning a song/artist. The next person then describes how this song makes them feel, either
- I LOVE IT
- I HATE IT
- NEVER HEARD OF IT
They then mention a new song for the next poster.
So starting the ball rolling ...
Wet Wet Wet - Love is all around

Don't Dream It's Over - by Crowded House.
(Although this is rightly revered as a great Crowded House song, it's not my big favourite by them. It still has an amazing set of lyrics and rather good music...)
Next up:
Mr Blue Sky by Electric Light Orchestra.

"Hero"'s probably her most played track (next to the Christmas one) and you'd know it if you heard it I feel sure!

Unexpectedly, and irritatingly, it's a First time I heard it I found it just annoying, but hearing it again (and again) I found it really catchy. It's not a work of genius, but it's a toe-tapper!!
Next: Vincent, by Don Maclean.

A great song that seemed to fit the melancholic mood of the charts post John Lennon's shooting. It seemed only a "Music Theatre" could liven up the mood though, Shaddup A Your Face.
Next one; The original, the best, You Can't Hurry Love by Diana Ross and The Supremes.

Creep by Radiohead[/QUOTE]
A song I first heard covered by Tears For Fears on their
Raoul and the Kings of Spain single, the Radiohead original is wonderfully sinister.
Next one: Alannis Morisette Uninvited.

AH! now you have me I'm afraid.
The Alanis track was recently covered by The Fremasons ft. Bailey Tzuke, which is how I got wind of it, enough to check out the Alanis original, only to discover I already had it on my hard drive. Bailey Tzuke is the daughter of a singer whose albums I enjoyed back in the late seventies and early eighties, Judie Tzuke, who had one hit single in '79, Stay With Me Till Dawn, a tremendous rock ballad, and something which has turned up on several seventies rock ballad collections.
So I'll go with that one for my next choice.
Judie Tzuke, Stay With Me till Dawn
