    Default Thank you David Tennant!

The era of David Tennant as Doctor Who is coming to a close.

Okay there's a thread about that.

But a different emphasis. If you met David Tennant - would you thank him for his time on the show? Is there a particular something about what he did either with the character or in an episode which you'd like to say "that was great"?

A thread to celebrate David Tennant's time as the Doctor.

Thank you for having some great clothes! You made brown suits cool.
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

Thank you very much for blowing up K9 and making me cry a bit and then building a new K9 and making me cry again.

    Si xx

I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

The Doctor made him better again.

Then that bitch Sarah Jane dropped him down a Black Hole, because Liz Sladen doesn't like being upstaged!

I think if I've got to choose something to say thank you ...

I think it has to be how David Tennant has really been able to bring to screen the loneliness of the Doctor, the isolation. "I'm always fine me". When he's not.

Probably hated by some fans, as it humanises the Doctor, but it has added a nice bit of depth to the character. This amazing life of discovery and adventure, but at a cost.

It was touched upon with Chris Ecclestones period, but it was really explored in Tennants. From his behaviour with his old companion in School Reunion, the loss of Reinette in The Girl In The Fireplace, the loss of Rose in Doomsday, the loss of the Master in Last of the Timelords, it goes on.

Thanks for making people call me "Doctor Who" for the last three years; even though I kept pointing out to them all that I look nothing like you really, I'm going to miss it when James Nesbitt lookalikes are reaping the comparative compliments instead....

    Let's compare lists, Wayne!

Mine would - is - might be the following:

    David Tennant
    Chris Eccleston
    Peter Davison
    Tom Baker
    Sylvester McCoy
    Paul Monk*
    Paul McGann
    Patrick Troughton
    William Hartnell
    Colin Baker
    Jon Pertwee

    * I've never heard a PS Audio so I've diplomatically decided to leave Paul where he is in Wayne's list

Amazing! They're almost exactly the same...

I really don't think my cousin's kids (who are 12 and 10 now) would be Doctor Who mad if it hadn't been for David Tennant. I keep meaning to frame the 'Time Crash' Radio Times cover for them- my Doctor and theirs together.
