Default "The Crystal Eye" - EPISODE 1 NOW ON-LINE!

    Missing...

    Wanted...

    Dangerous...

A star cruiser helmed by three runaway students from the GalSec University on Balari. There's Fnub, one of a strange insectoid species common in this part of the Galaxy, innocent Choo'Dar, only there to keep the others in line, and Della Tif, rogue son of the University Senator.

The students are in for a rough ride. For spinning through space along their very trajectory comes the TARDIS, helmed by a distracted Doctor and his two companions, Nick and Rob.

The unwitting adventurers are about to stumble accross the ancient nameless Crystal Planet, and become embroiled in a dangerous battle for the secrets it contains.

War is brewing... and not everybody will be returning home.

    Hold on tight...

It's Ali, she's back in this story in an entirely different role! But she's very different to the last story.

Well it's not as girly as Steve's scream in "Curse". It goes on for about twelve seconds!

Oh my! We haven't listened to it all yet, but I have to say it's sounding absolutely wonderful- very dramatic and atmospheric.

Wow! There's certainly a lot going on there!

Somebody's voice talents get a lot of air time in this one, I must say...

Looking forward to next week, as always!

    Accents?
    Oh that must be Ant

    I'm barely understandable sometimes.
Although I don't know if that differs from real life

I am the Bee Man, I am the Bee Man.
I am the walrus, goo goo g'joob.

I really enjoyed that, kudos to Paul for a great script, and to the cast for excellent performances, like Wayne I couldn't spot who half the people were which is all credit to them.

I was a bit surprised by The Doctor's initial lack of fear when it comes to the Daleks (though I suppose that comes from seeing Ecclescake and Tennant s*** themselves whenever they've popped up), but I enjoyed the way he started to lose that towards the end of the episode as he realised he didn't know if he couldn't stop them. I thought it was definitely Paul's best performance as the Doctor so far anyway, and Ali was great (and really different) after her last performance - the relationship with her and Nick was quite touching too.

The cliffhanger's really intriguing as well, and I can't wait for the next episode!

The idea was that after the previous joke, the Doctor thought Nick was making it up!

Did everyone realise what appeared in the closing moments? We were hoping it was obvious from the creatures dialogue, but it doesn't matter if it wasn't!

Oh yeah, I got that bit, I was thinking more about his first scenes with them. But like I say, it did work out effectively by the end of the episode.

And ah, no, I'm afraid I didn't, though it didn't stop that from being a great cliffhanger.
