    • Exclusive BBC Children in Need themed scenes from Doctor Who and Hotel Babylon
    • A musical extravaganza from Albert Square with the cast of EastEnders.
    • Junior Dragon's Den

This year the fundraising theme is Do Something Different and all those who step up to the challenge, or pick up the phone to pledge money for the BBC Children in Need Appeal, will be part of a huge community of supporters that make a huge difference to the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in the UK.

Last year's BBC Children in Need television broadcast raised over £18million pounds on the night and the 2006 total appeal eventually topped £33million.

She lacks personality, originality and quirkiness. She tries to be ultra-cool with her wardrobe and tattoos and rock-star boyfriends but ultimately just comes across as terribly bland and fake, and she's on TV waaaaaaaaaaay too much. She was a great kids TV presenter, but just not cut out for regular TV.

I can't stand these things. I just can't be bothered to sit through literally hours and hours of filler, just to get to a couple of good bits.

I admit I tape it all (it's not likely to be repeated and the good bits probably won't get a release either) and watch it later, skipping the boring bits.

I've never ever watched CIN. Except for the Eccleston/Tennant regeneration bit.
And that put me off it even more than that old tosser Wogan.

Kylie, The Spice Girls and Dr Who... sounds like an official hoot.

They've changed Pudsey - it won't be the same.

We're gonna have to watch the whole bloody thing with all those icons onboard. If Kylie appears on screen with Spice then the universe might implode.

But will there be anything as good as this?

Forget about Tennant and The Tubster...

Fiona Bruce dons fishnets and a corset to sing hits from Chicago

That's the only bit worth watching.

I'm pretty much the same I've always felt devoting some thing like 5 or 6 hours of prime time tv to these events is a bit over kill most of it it is mind numbing bordom and I tend to just dip in and out watching bits of it.

I bet Ralph 'donated' when they got Joanna Lumley to strip down to her underwear & stockings & suspenders many years ago.

We need a caption for Huw Edwards!

I tried to google a ladyboy pic (for a "You look so horny, Mr Edwards!" gag), but I couldn't find one I'd be allowed to post!!

There was a full size Dalek (collecting for Children in Need) in my hometown today!

Greggs and Morrisons were having Pyjama Parties, for some reason!? The big brunette on Morrisons bakery was wearing a cracking silky sheer pyjama top!*

The girls in Pink were also flashing their flesh for Pudsey. At least I now know that Louise has her name tattooed above her butt crack. Back of the net!

    * the bottoms were also quite interesting...
