    Default Dalek chronology?

I've been doing some thinking since I finished my essay earlier, and I had the thought of "what WAS the chronological order of the Dalek stories from THEIR timeline"?

now, feel free to contradict me, as this is likely to be easily contested, but here's my theory:

    Genesis of the Daleks
    The Daleks
    The Dalek Invasion of Earth
    Power of the Daleks
    Day of the Daleks
    Planet of the Daleks
    Death to the Daleks
    Destiny of the Daleks
Evil of the Daleks (invalidated by events of Genesis of the Daleks)
    Resurrection of the Daleks
    Revelation of the Daleks
    The Chase
    The Daleks' Masterplan
Remembrance of the Daleks (invalidated by events of the time war)
    Dalek
    Bad Wolf/Parting of the Ways
    Doomsday

    any better suggestions?

"Genesis of the Daleks" and "The Daleks" are surely alternate versions of the same history - originally the Daleks were called the Dals, and evolved into Daleks, then the Doctor went back and changed things in "Genesis", and their creator survived whereas he presumably didn't previously, leading to the Davros timeline.

No no no! The Daleks is the very final end of the Daleks, billions of years in the future at the end of time.

After The Chase, the Daleks start re-writing their history anyway. So I think it would go more like this:

    CHRONOLOGY A:
Genesis of the Daleks (How it all began)
The Dalek Invasion of Earth (Daleks ascendant)
    Planet of the Daleks
    Death to the Daleks
Destiny of the Daleks (Movellan war, Daleks in decline)
Resurrection of the Daleks (Crude time corridor in use)
    Revelation of the Daleks
    Davros
    The Juggernauts
The Daleks' Masterplan (Daleks develop crude time-travel, have to use other races to gain power)

    TIME TRAVEL PERFECTED

    CHRONOLGY B2:
Day of The Daleks (Never even happened!)

    CHRONOLOGY B3:
    Jubilee

    CHRONOLOGY B:
    The Genocide Machine
    The Mutant Phaaaaaaaaaase!
    The Apocalypse Element
Time of The Daleks (Still using mirrors!)
Evil of the Daleks (This would be the first thing they'd do, having been defeated by humanity so many times)
Remembrance of the Daleks (invalidated by events of the time war)

    CHRONOLOGY C:
The Chase (The Daleks attempt to kill the Doctor, knowing that he would be their greatest threat in the time war)
    Bad Wolf/The Empty Child
    Doomsday
    Dalek
Power of the Daleks (Time war fugitives?)
    The Daleks (The Final End!)

Ask me about my Time War theory! I dare you
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

Me & Trudi joked the other day that if we won the lottery we'd probably have two PCs, one on each side of the big house we'd buy, and chat on MSN

Two of you now have referred to Bad Wolf/The Empty Child.

Is this the one where the Daleks ask Davros "Are you my Mummy?"

Hang on! How can the Daleks be seeking revenge on Gallifrey AFTER the Time War. Surely from what we know about The Time War, Gallifrey was destroyed during it?

And it's surely, the Emperor went into hiding AFTER the Time War, so the Bad Wolf/ Parting of the Ways happens after the Time War is over. I think you're a bit confused old chap!

and further to that, RTD has said that The Apocalypse Element was one of the first events in the time war!

Are you sure about that Ant? I can't imagine RTD discussing how the new series links in with Big Finish somehow!

I'm highly suspicious about Mr McCow's assertion that "Daleks Invasion of Earth" follows "Genesis" you know!

And don't forget Tennant saying "I was there at the fall of Archetryx". RTD is definetly a fan of the early Big Finishes, we've had nods to Jubilee, Spare Parts and The One Doctor (perhaps).

I'm highly suspicious about Mr McCow's assertion that "Daleks Invasion of Earth" follows "Genesis" you know!
    Ah....

    Genesis of The Daleks
(Years pass. Everyone on Skaro turns blue. Yarvelling 'pretends' to invent the Daleks, but actually finds them in a bunker. All the stuff with Zeg, the X3 and Dalek Chronicle cartoons. The Daleks head north-by northeast at the sun to find Earth)
    The Dalek Invasion of Earth.

When did he say that? In Doomsday he said he was there at the fall of Arcadia. Did he ever mention Archetryx?

Yes, but as we know from the new series already- Time is in flux-and hence anything that has happened can unhappen. I am working on the basis that the timelords wont remain dead, because they can't. We know from too many doctor who stories that they are too important to everything for that to be the case.

If there can be millions of Daleks in 2006, but no one knows a Dalek in 2012 and it to be the last dalek despite 500,000 daleks in the year 200,000.

I think we can assume that the time war by its very nature happened but also never happened. We have seen often enough in who that what is done is often undone and never happened.

'I watched them Burn' that is not the same as 'I watch them erased from history' therefore they were not destoryed in the temporal sense.

Where do you place the Cushing movies?

The simple answer is that i just copied and pasted Robs so i didn't have to type them out again.

Besides parting of the Ways sucked, and Em,pty Child did not, so it made sense to keep the beter story, with its dalek art work, it counts!

the Cushing movies are unbound stories, mind you probably so is the new series (no regeneration), Oh wait maybe post wargames is unbound as well? oh dear its all a mess now.
