MP3 Download Sites ...

I was just about to start a thread about buying MP3 Downloads.

There are a lot out there, but I don't trust many at all. Which ones do you use?

I've noticed as well Amazon have only just started their own MP3 sales website ...

I had a bit of a look, as there's an album I'm interested in on Amazon, but there is a 1-2 month wait if I order it for it to be delivered!

It's no different to Internet shops, you can trust some, some you can't. We use Tesco Digital, which have a reasonable range. The tracks download as .WMA files but there is a easy to use program called Protected Music Converter which you can use to turn them into MP3 files and turn off the silly rights protection.

Also HMV have a good Downloads service off their main website, and I used 7 Digital to buy the new Feeling Christmas single yesterday, that downloaded as an MP3 file.

It's really no different to buying anything else off the internet, except you get your purchase straight away.

Play.com is quite cheap and you get MP3s but there choice is oddly random and doesn't always have the latest releases.

All the sites let you re-download your tracks should you ever lose them.
