    Default Question Time Five!!

Question Time IV is ended, with the whales safely stowed in the 22nd Century. So on we go with Question Time V, revealing a previously-unknown half-brother, some naked dancing in the sand, and a weak sort of thrown together ending.

So the opening question is... why the heck am I doing some kind of Star Trek thing in the opening paragraph when this is a Doctor Who forum?

Because you're cleverly channelling the alternative Fifth Doctor era where JNT had absolute power, the Master was the Doctor's half-brother, Peri was naked throughout Planet of Fire, and Pipnjane wrote Caves of Androzani where the Doctor regenerated after 48k of RAM fell on his head.

"I know about regeneration of course but I... I... I..."

"You have repeated I twice, young woman, and it makes you appear someone of limited vocabulary or perchance the victim of a verbal affectation."

"Your personality has changed as much as your outer form - how utterly abhorrent."

"Vicissitude, young woman, and it appears I couldn't have selected a more appropriate time to rejuvenate every molecule in my body."

    Et cetera.

Have you put your new calendar(s) up yet? If so, what are they?
Dennis, Francois, Melba and Smasher are competing to see who can wine and dine Lola Whitecastle and win the contract to write her memoirs. Can Dennis learn how to be charming? Can Francois concentrate on anything else when food is on the table? Will Smasher keep his temper under control?

If only the 28th century didn't keep popping up to get in Dennis's way...

Yes and no- one of my cousins bought me an Escher calendar for Christmas, so that if I look up and slightly to the left, I can see something that looks a bit like Castrovalva, except in black and white. Which takes me back to my childhood when we could get BBC Wales on the portable in the back bedroom. But I'm trying to find a home for the Great Composers one which came with BBC Music Magazine, and I have a couple of desk calendars (Jack Daniels and one my Dad made up from his own photos of Superlambananas) currently without desks.

What does my choice of calendars say about me?

That you're sensible enough not to buy one*, based on the probability of getting one either as a present or a free gift.

What time did you get up this morning?

*Unless you bought the Jack Daniels one - but even then, 1 out of 4 ain't bad (as Meatloaf might have said (but didn't)).

I woke up at ten ish by my TV switching on for some reason. I'm a guessing that it's set on "wake up" from some other jaunt and I've never got around to cancelling it.

Bernie Eccleston's "The End of the World" or Patrick Litchfield's "The Enemy of the World"?

Eh? Question Time? I know from reading remainder of your post that we're dealing with the Trek films but am I missing some private joke regarding Question Time?

David Dimbleby is half human on his mother's side and struggles with unwanted emotions while listening to politicians bang on about illogical things.

Well we knew that all along! But then we all do...

I'll have Lichfield's Enema Of The World btw, but I'd rather have Tom Courtney's Ark Of Infinity In Space.

Well, Doctor Who was a bit of a letdown.

What would you like your last words on this earth to be?

Hell yeah! Fish and chips, that Eurovision thing, Demons, our last trip to Woolies and the usual saturday goodness.

Oh and a certain announcement which I suspect will leak to the press over night and be on the front pages hours before Confidential is on.

Who would cast as the next Doctor Who if you had to cast a woman?

Liza Tarbuck. I actually think she'd be very good indeed.

Eh? Question Time? I know from reading remainder of your post that we're dealing with the Trek films but am I missing some private joke regarding Question Time?
Not at all, Mr 'olmes. The ongoing Question Time saga just does exactly what it says on the tin (or would, if we had a tin). Each post answers the question above and poses the next question - questions can be anything at all, and as for answers, anything goes!!

And thus without further ado, the next question is...

Did you know that Steven Moffat's mother-in-law was Tony Hancock's agent, and also negotiated Terry Nation's Dalek rights?

Do you like your name or would you ratherr have been called something else instead?

Actually, I wouldn't have minded my first name being "Plunger".

Do any of you chaps fill up your DVD collection by printing out covers for the lost episodes, then sticking them onto normal DVD's, and adding them to your collection?

    A great man once said:

The great British winter-ending in july, to recommence in August.
Does that clear it up for you?

I do, I really do. I've no basis for that other than a general faith in the nature of things (to coin a phrase...) but I think he will. Moffat's take on the Doctor will, IMHO, be a little different to RTDs, and Smith's performance will be a little less conventional than David's (again, IMHO) so I think the difference will be there. I'm actually really excited, even though it's quite daunting to think that he's too young to remember such dramatic times as the 1985 hiatus!!

Am I sounding a bit over-excited do you think?
