At least it's not a red double decker bus!

Though that link may explain its release date.

Ups and downs, sir! Coming to the end of my third year at Edinburgh Uni (one year left to go, thanks to the Scottish education system), still in exam season with two left to go. I've got my 9th and 10th self-written/directed shows booked for the autumn so I'm still doing a lot in the amateur student theatre, and I might have an actual paid comedy gig or two coming. Otherwise in a relationship that's slowly going the way of the R101 and I haven't even started to try and find a job yet over summer, but on the up side I'm going on holiday to New York in early June! So a bit of give and take really.

We'll deal with Pip's dubious claim on the part, don't you worry!

One good thing about the US covers is that they use the correctly coloured logo. Why on earth the UK ones have that dull grey one is a mystery. It looks so dull and completely fails to jump out from the shelf.

They do seem to be slightly ahead of the game right now, so I've ordered the rest of the years releases (aside from The War Games due to pirce) from them.

My copy has arrived from Sendit. I can't believe it got here so quickly.
I haven't opened the package yet, Amy is here for the weekend and I'm hoping she'll pay for it for father's day.

Didn't Don Henderson have horrible hands? Or are they gloves of some kind?

Our copy arrived today, seconds before we wanted to watch it!

It's odd that Mel is so thrilled to win a trip back to the 1950's. Anyone would think she didn't live in a time machine.

Love the man who says "Gong!" on the rough edit where the dinner gong sound should be.

Noel Edmonds really was a tit wasn't he.

The "Gong" bit really made me laugh last night. It caught me at just the right moment.

I loved the new control room scene from the unedited pt 1. Some lovely dialogue there.

Yes, wasn't it lovely! They really seemed at ease. The rough edit really sold Bonnie to me more as well - the lack of music and faff brought out her quite relaxed performance. I wonder what she'd have been like in "Remembrance of the Daleks" in the sixties? Quite at home, I'd imagine. Billy's noting of Ray as "like a little sister" was another unfortunate loss from the transmitted version, as it establishes his thoughts about her quite well.

The TARDIS kitty pot kept in the console is a gem to cherish!

I still don't get why they couldn't put the extra scenes on as a seperate feature. I'd rather watch the proper Part One and then the extra scenes.

I think it's because people might enjoy watching the episode without Keff's noise.

It's probably Keff's best score though.

I love the music in this one! Bombastic and wrong, but still distinctive and fun in a bizarre way. It's very 1987 and although it would be easy to make it very cheaply today, it was probably quite expensive at the time.

Is this the first example of singing in the non-diagetic incidental music for Doctor Who? It's probably the last example until The Christmas Invasion.

I enjoyed D and the Bmen a lot more than the last time I watched it. Cartmel, McCoy, Clough and Griffiths seemed to love it as well! They should have got Saward in on the commentary, he'd have put them in their places.

Nice special features, nothing too strange, but my favourite was (of course) Stripped for Action on the 7th Doctor Comic Strips. Inconsistent is the right word! I was pleased to see them covering it right up to Ground Zero and Cartmel desparately trying to defend 'Ravens'.

The Gunfighters might be the first, perhaps?
