Iris Wildthyme
Forget the dreary old news that they're bringing back the Draconians, Carol-Anne Ford (and Susan's son) and the Spiders of Metebeslis 3 because Iris is back in four fabolous new adventures...
and the covers are awesome!
Seriusly though, these adventures sound more fun than anything in the main range. I have serious doubts about continuing with them at the moment, with the over reliance on old monsters coming back and a lack of invention in the strories. I want to keep supporting them, but it feels like this next year is going to be a trial. There's not been a huge improvement with the Nick Briggs era really.

Yes - looks like a much needed direction.
I know I'm not as serious a fan as a lot of people on the site. So a lot of Big Finish stuff passes me by. I only really take an interest in it if someone really raves about it. I try and pick and choose only "the good stuff".
Looking through those my reaction was "oh - that's kind of familiar but different". I'll have to remember to sample some of it.

The cover of "The Two Irises" is the most amazing thing EVER!

Those covers are wonderful... although I'm not a huge Iris fan, at least not in print.

What wonderful covers! And what splendid use of pandas - there are not nearly enough pandas in science fiction.

I hope Mr Cox realises his long-term crimes in the name of atrocious Punning do not go unnoticed on Planet Skaro. Don't think I haven't seen him slipping them in to his posts every now and again.

I like the covers, but I'm not sure whether the stories are likely to be any good. Has anyone heard the ones they released previously?

Got this on order from Amazon (bargain of the month at £19.80), the only problem is I'm getting withdrawal symptons from the waiting. I love Iris and Katy Manning loads. The covers are brilliant and the trailer for The Panda Invasion is the best thing ever. Spilling gin into the time vortex indeed!!!

Finally finished these off and they are great fun, love the references and near blatant plagiarism from the various eras of Who the series apes, and how the whole thing dovetails into a mini cliffhanger concerning Panda-recommended

Yes, seconded. Katy Manning excells once again in the long awaited return of Iris Wildthyme. Lots of digs at Doctor Who's expense such as Tom's departure. 'I didn't think they'd get together, they hardly said two words the whole time,' and after Panda remembers how moving his good-bye was Iris says to him 'you told him to bugger off!'
My favourite of the plays has to be The Panda Invasion, partly due to it containing the line, 'Oh dear, I've dropped me glass into the very workings of the engine, which means I've spilt gin directly into the space time vortex, and no one's meant to do that.'
Brilliant stuff and well recommended.'In search of some rest, in search of a break
From a life of tests, where something's always at stake
Where something's always so far...'
