    Ditto me!

The funny thing is that I'm always keeping an eye on DVD and CD bargains with FIND DVD but I tend not to think about the books for some reason. Maybe I just feel that I get enough to read these days from DWM and of course the internet itself.

The Writer's Tale for me, because it's one of the finest Doctor Who books ever. A great insight into the processes that go on behind the scenes in making the show.

I was pleased to see the Monster book reincarnated for the new generation of fans and they are splendid books all round, even if the later ones are scarpping the barrel of the original series now.

THe DK Visual Dictionary is lovely too and is well borrowed by kids of all ages in my library!

The Inside Story for me - RTD's book was fun, but there was more effort put into The Inside Story. Plus the DK book shows that the TARDIS only has ONE ROOM!!! Sacrilige!
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

Like Si, I'm pleased to see the 'Monsters & Villains' and its sequels being published - and I guess, selling pretty well since they do a new one each year. I got the first two, and they're nicely put together, with a good (& pleasingly random) mix of the old & new.

The Inside Story was a good read, although I don't think it really covered much we hadn't seen elsewhere.

The Encyclopedia is a nice looking book, but... I'm afraid it just smacks of 'fleecing' to me. Plus releasing it inbetween seasons 3 & 4 means that it's so quickly out of date - arguably after season 4 would have been better, or even after the Tennant era had finished. I've got a copy and have flicked through it, but... One wonders why they bothered.

Visual Dictionary & Calling the Shots, I've never seen, so can't comment.

I'm voting for The Writer's Tale, as it was an unusual and often insightful read. HST, my favourite, favourite new series book has been the series 1 The Shooting Scripts, but that doesn't appear to be an option. For shame, Mr Hart!!

Script books do not count as behind the scenes books. At least that'smy excuse.

Fair enough, Si, I was only teasing really! Although I really did enjoy it.

I knew about the RTD book, but had no idea the new series had produced such a range of non-fiction?

Oops, forgot to vote in this one. I actually only have two of these books, but I've had a look at most of the others. I've not read it yet, but, for what it's worth, my vote would have gone to Rusty's book, a beautifully-designed tome. Special mention, too, to The Inside Story and The Encyclopaedia.
