I don't normally look at the cd selection in charity shops, they're normally filled with crappy cd singles and magazine cover mounts.

I know what you mean, but some shops are better than others and don't slap a £2 price tag on an old cover cd. British Heart Foundations often have a decent selection, and Cancer Research isn't too bad either.

In the last couple of weeks I've bought tickets to see: Ultrasound; A Frank Sidebottom Statue Fundraiser which includes sets from Stewart Lee, Kevin Eldon and Simon Munnery; The Polyphonic Spree sing The Rocky Horror Show; US Band Animal Collective. They're all in the Autumn, so even this summer is a washout I'll have something to look forward to.

Ooh some good ones there! Having finally received them on Friday (two days after the Graceless II boxset arrived - thanks for that Royal Mail!) I've now got three of the ones I bought cued up to listen to later.

Lovely! The effects they did for TOS were superb.

I've been watching a few of these on CBSAction recently, and on the whole the effects work has been splendid.

Having forgotten that I'd pre-ordered it a month ago (but at least I got it cheaper than the current price) the DVD of the 80s TV series of The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole is on its way. Never saw this first time round as it was on past my bedtime so should be interesting...

It's a big TV! which should turn up early next week.

I've been making this decision for a number of weeks now and ummed and erred about it, specifications, size, type, etc. etc.

I finally decided last week and waited until today to place the order - which should hopefully means it turns up when I am off shift.
