So what are your first impressions?
To me they seem to resemble quite a few of the recent new Who monsters that choose to wear fashionable boiler suits. Nice prosthetics but lacks imagination...."Kneel before the might of Sutekh! In my presence, you are an ant, a termite. Abase yourself, you grovelling insect!"...

Is anyone else thinking Ghost-Light meets Torchwood?
For every fail, there is an equal and opposite win.

"You see Doctor? When I first met the Tritovores, they were a race of savages! But now that I've taught them to wear boiler suits...they will be indomitable!!!"
Now does anyone know what the Trit is that the Tritovores feed on?
(Is it Latin or is it a made up word?)
Is it people who say trite things and questions?
The Earth really will be in danger if they make it to this planet then!
Thanks for posting this link!
EDIT: No, not Latin, it's the trinity of three numbers or something?

So who'll be the first character to be reprimanded by the Doctor for telling the new Tritovores to 'buzz off'?

Speaking of new aliens...
BBC One's Tonight's The Night is offering Doctor Who fans the chance to win a role as an alien, it has been announced.
A competition will be run for one viewer to take part in a specially-written scene which is to be shot on the set of the Tardis.
Speaking about the competition, Tonight's The Night star John Barrowman said: "This is a fantastic opportunity and I can't wait to see the winner experience performing on the set of Doctor Who."
Viewers over 18 are invited to submit an application featuring a photograph of them in their home-made alien costume, along with information about their alien, such as where it is from and its characteristics.
A group of 50 applicants will then be selected to meet a panel including John Barrowman and Doctor Who casting director Andy Pyror.
The scene will be broadcast in the final episode of Tonight's The Night later this spring
