    Default John Cater RIP

It has been reported that the character actor, and one of my personal favourites, John Cater has died.
This has really saddened me. It was always a joy to see his performances on TV, especially as Starr in Duchess of Duke Street.
I met him last year at a Dr. Who thing in Gloucester and I could have talked to him all day about his various TV roles, and he was happy to know his work was appreciated and loved so much over the years. We also touched briefly on the state of TV today and he was happy to know that I was a fan of BBC4s output as he felt it to be the only channel worth looking at these days, especially as at that time BBC4 was re-running Up Pompeii and one of the episodes featured him as Caster Oilus.
We at PS will of course know him for his part in The War Machines as Professor Krimpton.

    RIP John Cater.

    That's sad news.

    R.I.P Professor Krimpton.

Sad - he was one of those actors who could always be relied upon to put in a good performance.

There's nothing more important than human life.

    RIP John.
