I can add Athlete to the list now, after seeing them last nigth at top venue The Reading Hexagon. It was a good gig depsite their sound system being somewhat over powerful for such a small venue.

My list isn't fantastic but I did go to the Tsunami Benefit Concert in 2006 which had such top-notch acts as Manic Street Preachers (who didn't sing Tsunami sadly), Feeder, Eric Clapton, Katherine Jenkins, Goldie Lookin Chain, Aled Jones (ok bad example), etc.
Plus I did see Robot Wars Live, Magic (a fab Queen tribute band), Rocky Horror.Geoff

Aled Jones! Did the fans shout out for 'Walking In The Air'?
Goldie Looking Chain are frequently hilarious, as are the Manics. They're some pretty good acts there...
and Mr.Clapton.Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

No it was Walking in the Air.
But don't ask me... I'd disappeared to the bar when he came on. Funnily enough, I did the same when Badly Drawn Boy and Heather Small came on too.
Sadly Clapton wasn't that good on the night, but he was saved by the fact that Jools Holland's Orchestra were his backing band.Geoff

I've seen Keane live twice, and Franz Ferdinand.
I saw Ferdinand back in 2005 at MSG. BRILLIANT performance! (Even though we were all the way in the back) It was a rousing performance, especially on "Outsiders" It was THE BEST SONG LIVE as they got, like, two roadies to join in on the drumming. It was amazing.
I saw/met Keane at a signing in Borders in 2006. They played four songs then signed CD's. They're all lovely lads and sooo attractive in person- AND MUCH TALLER! By George I felt like I was a Hobbit among Ents around them. Sadly, I was too chicken to ask for a picture with them as my fiends and I followed them out of the store (NEXT time though...NEXT time ) And I saw their concert in May at Central Park last year. Amazing show. My friends and I got there at 12pm for the 8pm concert! (It was worth getting sunburnt and possible cancerous solar rays as we got the front row!) Not only that but whenever Tom came to our side he pointed n' sang to me SQUEE!! Truly, one of the best nights/shows ever!

Okay this is a bit unusual because this isn't a "I've seen" but an "I'm going to see".
I'm joining a few friends in a fortnight to go to see Al "All hail to the ale" Murray in the studio audience of Happy Hour.Geoff

Last night we went to see the wonderfully eccentric Jim Noir. It was worth gettinbg throught the generally poor supports, I love the Daves, the Zirov Music Project and the miserabilism of Polly Scattergoose.
Jim played a short set, but was well worth going to see. Everyone singing along with The Computer Song seemed to surprise him, and we ended up doing My Patch acapella, which was nice. Not sure the bobble hat was such a good idea on a warm night though!

I hate support acts! It annoys me breaking my back turning up for the 6.30pm opening time on the ticket, and two hours later you're still sitting through some mindless ambient electronica act you've not heard of and wondering if you're going to miss last train home by the time the main act finishes! There must be a better way!
We got our Kylie tickets yesterday, booked long ago in the mists of time, and it notes there'll be no support. Hurrah! It'll be my FOURTH major concert seeing Miss Minogue. God!!
I'm glad we saw Gabriella Cilmi supporting the Sugababes a few months ago though, as she's now number 1 in Oz and a rising star! And she was actually quite good. The babes always seem to get good support acts.

I was going to say that we've never seen Kylie, but thinking about it she introduced The Scissor Sisters at Trafalgar Square.
Still, it would be a treat to go and see her concert.Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

She always puts on a good show. Apparently you can get a concert DVD if you want to see her without having to tramp to the O2.

Crowded House, with Duke Special (B'ham NEC, 2007)
Squeeze (Liverpool Philharmonic, 2007)
Foo Fighters, with Supergrass and The Futureheads (missed Futureheads, though) and... and... JIMMY PAGE AND JOHN PAUL JONES!!!!! (Wembley Stadium, 2008)
Foo Fighters were just awesome, even better than when I last saw them, and they made Wembley their own, but when they brought on Jimmy and John for two songs during the encore, it was a pure "F***ING HELL!" moment! They played 'Rock And Roll' and 'Ramble On', and they were brilliant - that's probably the closest I'll ever come to seeing Led Zeppelin live.
I think that concert is in my top three now!Last edited by Dave Tudor; 9th Jun 2008 at 3:46 PM.

She's the sort.
I've bought tickets to FINALLY see Alison Goldfrapp. I hope I'm at the front.

I always thought you'd already seen them, Pip?
I was considering going to see them on this tour, when I got sent an email yesterday, but my girlfriend's bought tickets to see The Hoosiers and Scouting For Girls, and both gigs are quite close to the Goldfrapp one, and finances are a bit tight.
Personally, I think I'd rather go and see Alison....

Scouting For Girls? Dave, you do disappoint me!
I've never seen Alison, no. Roisin Murphy's also doing a couple of UK dates in November so I'll be definitely going to one of them. I'm checking out all my fave birds in music

I saw Rolf Harris in Wells once, many years ago.
Right, i've just publicly embarrased myself again...For every fail, there is an equal and opposite win.
...Oh, who am I kidding?
