Nice one Si! We should be able to get a few scenes done on the Friday as before. Paul's welcome to come up on the Friday as well if he wants of course.

I'll be with Trudi during that week, so I can pop on the train to Sawbridgeworth easily - when will recording commence? I shall bring a blanket with me too

Recording will hopefully be underway by lunchtime/early afternoon on the Saturday. I'm hoping Paul will arrive first as he has most scenes. He is Doctor Who after all!

I've no idea exactly when I'll arrive. It depends if Kathy is driving up or not.
Plus I have an idea for a 4th audio if we ever get round to doing it.

I'll make it for 2-3pm then. I fancy a lie in!

What do you mean, Si? A basic story idea, or someone offering to write the audio?
-

An idea first, then eventually we can get the author of the best idea to turn it into a script.

I'm going to announce a full cast this week for your perusal! I know for "Echoes" we kept cameo roles a surprise, but basically almost everyone who is willing to appear was in that, so I see no point in keeping secret those who are popping up again. Also there is really now no such thing as "main cast" and "cameo roles" as everyone is contributing to different degrees.
There will still be a few surprises, which I'll simply omit from the cast list!

I'll try and get it all done and online for Friday, if I can find some time - everyone comes to me with their favours & it builds up
Nice to be asked tho.

Your projects are always my number one priority
(especially when I have a supporting acting role in them )

A few things! Firstly, did Paul Clement get my e-mail? I'm hoping I didn't offend him in any way because I was writing to tell him that I've been having problems with his scene and might have to get him to record something else, and he hasn't replied back!! I did offer him the possibility of something even more exciting though, so I hope he's okay with that! Just want to make sure he got the e-mail really.
Secondly, here is the official cast list, announced ahead of the website launch will be this Friday! You'll note a slightly slimmer cast this time around, for a few reasons - things have been done slightly differently this time, with cameo roles left 'til the end as we're planning a more relaxed second recording session so people not at the first one can have a chance of experiencing the wonder of doing silly voices with the like-minded. It's forever a shame that we don't have a bigger house, so unfortunately we have to be really tight on how many we can invite. But this way, people who we couldn't find a huge part for can come along and do some fun things like monster voices, multiple smaller roles, and sound effects. Also experience is teaching me that a "get as many people as you can" approach doesn't neccessarily make for a better play - you start inventing roles so more people can be in it, and the story suffers!
Anyway, here is the official confirmed cast so far for "Soap of Fatal Death":
Doctor Who ......................... Paul Monk
Nick ................................... David Tudor
Rob .................................... Steve Alexander
June River/Auntie Rosie .......... Kathy Riedtmann
Daniel Nelson/Ethan Fox ......... Simon Hart
Virginia Purseglove/Lucky Fox .. Trudi Gard
Charlie ................................ Tim Hawtin
Ant .................................... Anthony Williams
Clear Waters Superfan ........... Si Hunt
Daryl French/Rufas Sugar ....... Pip Madeley
Lionel Langton/Uncle Barney ....Wayne Jefferies
Doctor Santos ..................... David Barnes
Roddy Stevens .................... Martin Penny
Jerry Diamond ..................... Dave Lewis
Awards Announcer/Barman .... Andrew Clancy
Stage Manager ................... Alex Finch
Mr Bristow ......................... Andrew Curnow
Mrs Bristow ........................ Gisela Curnow
Sally Bristow ...................... Claudia Curnow
A lot of wonderful performers there I'm sure you'll agree! But this isn't led by me - if YOU want to be in this play and arn't so far in the cast, then let me know as there are still parts waiting to be cast! All you need is a microphone and e-mail.
The recording, once again, is on Saturday 27th January for all those booked to appear!

What a scoop! You managed to book the highly in demand Claudia Curnow!
Good for Claudia. I worked out that Wayne was Lionel Langton. The part just seemed so him.

I'm looking forward to my scenes with Wayne again. Our scene in the last story was great fun and I know that these ones will be too!
Come on people! We need some more volunteers!
Si xx
I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

If on the recording day, you still need some daft voices I'm sure I could change how I sound enough to do something different.

Well, I'm hoping that a few people are left to do the remaining roles (Gary the Dresser, some Radio Announcers, a Surgeon and so on) and they'll be able to do that. Jonno hasn't done anything yet, so I'm hoping he'll oblige, and perhaps Dave Taylor too if he's not off on another cheap day trip to Mars.

I should stress that the remaining roles haven't been left because we can't get people - I have Dave, Mr Cox and Mr Clement on willing standby. But I thought it would be fun to try and get some more people together to record if we can, even if this happens later on, hence the unfilled roles this late-on. There's a scene with a radio announcer in, for example, which I hope I'll get someone to do - but it could easily be cut, or I could use the existing version which is me holding my nose.

I just thought holding my nose would make a sound approximate to a radio announcer. Instead it just sounds like me, holding my nose.
