Matt Lucas should get in touch with Big Finish and demand another round of Unbound adventures!
Although I have a suspicion that Matt Lucas may have already been the Doctor on the Vervoid's 'Unbound Unbound'...Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

I posted it after I read it in The Sun earlier. Also posted the final BARB figures for Daleks in Manhattan before they appeared on the OG News Page.
The SJA casting news is the only thing I've nabbed off their News Page this month. They're not as fast as they used to be. Still no mention of interviews on Breakfast, The Paul O'Grady Show or This Morning over there.

Vinnie Jones 20 - 1: Too good at acting.
Jason Statham 4 - 1: Who hell he?
Stephen Fry 10 - 1: Too likely to do a bunk.
Christopher Eccleston 20 - 1: Too much of a TRAITOR!!!
Alan Davies 4 - 1: Too predictable.
Aidan Gillen 10 - 1: Too easy to mis-spell.
Hugh Grant 25 - 1: Too bumbling.
David Morrisey 5 - 1: Too downright awful.
Julian Walsh 12 - 1: Too Walsh (haha.)
Robbie Williams 33 - 1: A few years ago, maybe, but now he'd be better off regenerating into the other four members of Take That.
Richard E. Grant 6 - 1: Too cartooony.
Joel Beckett 14 - 1 Christopher Villiers 50 - 1 Nigel Harman 8 - 1: Don't know any of these!
John Barrowman 14 - 1: But he's Captain Jack!
Ricky Gervais 66 - 1: Too fat and unfunny
John Simm 8 - 1: I thought he was playing someone else already? It'd be great if he went back to the Doctor Who production office in the 70's though. Jon Pertwee in the Gene Hunt role - 'Get out of my eyeline, nancy boy!'
Why aren't Paul Daniels and Donald Sutherland on the list?Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

R.T.D would love him.
I'm not sure he'd want him as the Doctor though.

Teletext are reporting that Mackenzie Crook (The Office, Pirates Of The Carribean) wants the job of the Eleventh Doctor...
While Crook admits that he has been considered for some roles in the BBC Wales-produced Doctor Who in the past, nothing came of them due to other commitments. But, like many other actors, he would quite like Tennant’s job as the Time Lord, especially as many scenes are shot in Wales.
“Maybe I’ll just have to wait for David to abdicate,” he laughs.

I didn't particularly recognise the name, but having just Googled him, I now know who you mean - he was the sort of philosophical chap in Pirates (we watched the third one just this past week) in a sort of Holmesian double act...
He doesn't particularly scream "Timelord" at me from his pictures, but who knows...
(Although I think, reading between the lines, that Harry Lloyd is a dead cert if he wants it.)

No, not for me. He looks too emaciated & we've already got a skinny Doctor at the moment.

Despite making a guest appearance this year in Fire of Pompeii, i still reckon Peter Capaldi would be a fab Doctor.

That's a good idea. Plus, if Romana could regenerate and copy someone's appearance, why not the Doctor too?

Well he has already.
Right now, Michael Jayston would be a problem as he's committed to Emmerdale. I wouldn't mind him as a non-Valeyard Doctor, not only because of his being good enough, but to have him as the 11th Doctor in order to wind up OG - "What's going to happen about the Valeyard then? eh?!"
Otherwise, Bill Nighy might just fit in in a New Series stylee.

I think, having been struck down by some degenerative type of exitonic radiation, the 10th Doctor is forced to merge his body, a la Keeper of Traken, with Donna's grandad
Bernard Crbbins for the 11th Doctor !!Bazinga !
