Funniest line in the whole show.

I don't need to rewatch any of S1 & S2 to re-evaluate my opinion of it, I've seen them enough times. They got rid of the two best cast members in S2.

Children of Earth remains one of the finest pieces of modern television I've ever seen, but it's despite the main cast, not because of them. IMO.

I think it could have been interesting to recast. Nathan Fillion as Captain Jack, and Erica Durance as Gwen...

8th July in the US, but in the UK 14th July is when we get 'Wood.

Let me just apologise right now for that appalling 'joke'. I'm deeply sorry.

It's because of the air-dates in the US that we're getting it late, I reckon, due to the rights and because Starz want to promote it as 'Premiere' in America. We're suffering the after-effects of that.

So in the UK, it's a case of Knock On 'Wood.

well a lot of the stuff on Sky 1 and Sky Atlantic, is shown in the UK, one day after it was shown in the U.S, so I see no reason why the BBC, can't do the same with Torchwood.

Perhaps they can, but don't want to? Depends what slots they have available for it.

well this months DWM, are none the wiser as to when the BBC, will be showing it if it's going to be shown over 10 weeks then I get the feeling the BBC, might just want to get it finished before Doctor Who, resumes again in the autumn.

They've prepared two parallel edits for different markets." Russell T Davies had previously mentioned in his interview with Front Row that Jack is a 'childrens hero', and clarifies in the new Issue 436 of DWM that 'racier' scenes might be edited for a BBC audience.

Attendees at last week's BFI preview had reported that The New World seemed longer than the fifty minutes originally reported in the Cannes press release; this is also confirmed in DWM, with UK episodes expected to run for some 54 minutes whereas episodes on Starz would run for 50-51 minutes. Davies pointed out that this isn't a cut to the US version, but extra material added to the UK one!
It's going to be annoying having to figure out what was different with each version. If it is raunchier in the US, and what is extra in the UK...

I wonder if the DVD version will be the "Master" edits?

may be - but I guess it'll just be part of the extras and "deleted scenes"

There was a trailer on BBC1! Sadly, despite what Captain Jack told us we weren't ready.
