Interesting to see that they've got Maureen O'Brien for the Romans interview, although I'd heard they had William Russell reading this one!

I've always loved the juggling on the cover of Black Orchid! Who juggles like that?
One Day, I shall come back, Yes, I shall come back,
Until them, there must be no regrets, no tears, no anxieties, Just go forward in all your beliefs,
and prove to me that I am not mistaken in mine!

Perhaps Bill Hartnell had become a bit excited over Jackie Hill's costume, and they had to fabricate some excuse to put a sticker over it?
Obviously he's calmed down a bit now...

Apparently Barry Letts is now going to read The Daemons audio book, rather than Stephen Thorne. I think this is a good move after hearing his autobiography the other week.
He's also been treated for cancer recently, but seems to be recovering OK, according to some reprts from a recent convention he attended.

It's a terrible name, isn't it! It's simply a 3 story collection of New Series novels, Martha In The Mirror, Snowglobe 7 and The Many Hands.
Somone at BBC Audiobooks actually asked me to come up with a better title than that, but my suggestion couldn't be used due to legal thingummys (they weren't allowed to use 'Martha' in the title, apparently! ).“If my sons did not want wars, there would be none.” - Gutle Schnaper Rothschild

Nice cover for Pyramids. Surprised to see The Daemons getting the intial reprint cover - I thought they were always using the original cover artwork?

Perhaps it's down to personal preference? I think the reprint cover of the Daemons looks better than the original, maybe the BBC agree.
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

They used the reprint cover of The Doomsday Weapon too, so it's not a clear cut rule.

Ah yes, I forgot about that! When I was really getting my collection underway in the early-mid 80s I ended up with the reprint covers in most cases and really wanted the Achilleos/Brookes originals that I remember borrowing from the library in the mid 70s. There is the odd exception though, and I do prefer the Cummins Weapon cover, though oddly enough I do have the Achilleos one for that!

I think the Cummins cover is far better than the Archilleos one, much the same as the Skilleter Daemons is probably better than the Archilleos one. I'm not a huge fan of some of the early Archilleos work... sacrillege I know! Still it's nice to see the lovely artwork being extensively reused now. I do miss proper Doctor Who art. It's all photoshop magic now, and it's not really the same for me.

Is it just me, or does Sarah Jane on the cover of Pyramids look like Derek Deadman in a wig?
