We all know exactly what those 2 words signify.

Does anyone know who was the genius who came up with this and when it was first used?

I'm guessing it first appeared in the DWM comic strip?

I believe it turned up in the late Tom Baker era, in The Collector. Check out this page for more informations! - http://www.thevervoid.com/doctorwho/comics_08.htm

It's about as close as you can get to the actual noise in written word format. I'd love it if the words actually appeared in mid-air as the TARDIS dematerialised!
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

The 'wind' accompanying the TARDIS demat must pre-date the TV Movie by about 15 years!

Although the Doctor's unusual spotted "kipper tie with a knot the size of Anglesea" suggests that the "it" that he's "got" is bad fashion sense.

It's a fact you can't deny. I'm very, very fond of this comic strip. They blew up K9. I was distraught until they went back in time and sorted out the problem (predating the TV Movie by 15 years too! )

Actually, I still remember this story and am pretty sure I've still got the mags somewhere.
