I feel old.
Come September 1st this year, I'll have been watching Dr Who for 30 years... it makes me feel so old! Nurse! My zimmer, please!
(And I know there's at least one other member of this forum that reaches the 30 year mark the same day... )

Some might consider 30 years to be quite a short time. In terms of being definitely able to remember watching, I'll be at 31 at the same time - and I can think of at least 3 PS members who have been on the go even longer!
You young Wombat you!

In terms of Ice Ages it's only a very small amount.
As a child of the McGann era I can only imagine a time when Saturday teatimes were all about the adventures of Percy Kent-Smith and his Bond girl-like sidekick Soppy Aldred.

I reckon you're probably the longest-serving fan on PS Steve (notice how I managed to avoid saying "the oldest fan" there - tactful, eh!) - I'd guess Wayne 'n' Ralph (the Pertwee posse) have also been, well, 'on the go' longer than the rest of us.

1974 I started, you do the maths!
One Day, I shall come back, Yes, I shall come back,
Until them, there must be no regrets, no tears, no anxieties, Just go forward in all your beliefs,
and prove to me that I am not mistaken in mine!

It's my thirtieth anniversary too this year. Might watch Destiny of the Daleks as a celebration.

Where something's always so far...'

I've been at it for thirty-five years.
I'll rephrase that...

I feel bad now about saying I could only think of three people who'd been on the go for more than thirty years. It turns out we've got loads of old codgers on PS!!!

I'm 43 and have been watching since I was 5. That's 38 years and still going!
I’m being extremely clever up here and there’s no one to stand around looking impressed! What’s the point in having you all?

33 years or so from "The hand of fear" to "Planet of the dead" (I think it was called).
