Did anyone see the cover of the Daily Express on Wednesday? It's headline was "Council Tax Rises 85%". It's clearly implying a future rise, which obviously would be scandalous. Only when you delve into the story do you discover that this apparent revelation refers to a rise over a period of historical time, in actual fact 10 years.

I hate the Daily Express and wouldn't buy it if it was the only form of paper type substance left in the whole world. Even if I really needed a poo.

That must've been the only occasion in the past 9 years that their headline hasn't referred to Princess Diana.

What about all the headlines informing us that the housing market is about to collapse?

Ah, but given that the council tax increase has mostly taken place since Diana's death, they're probably going to try and pin it on that.

There a handful of those cheapo Domini and Alice Adventures in Time BBV audio CDs in the charity shop.

    We did not buy them.

I struggled to sell my BBV audios on ebay, most went, but only for a couple of quid each. Pretty disappointing really.

The queue at the Post Office was far too large for me to waste my lunch hour waiting to send some Avengers DVDs off.
