    Default 11th Doctor's Costume

    Is revealed here

I'd hope it was a one off for a period episode, but given the fuss the BBC are making over it, it looks like its the real deal.

    Surely he's the 11th Doctor?

I like it. Its quite minimal but fits my 60's Cambridge Student idea very well. Now all he needs is a blue duffle coat to complete it.

It's perfect - mini-skirt, legs, what more do you need?

Oh, and his costume is alright, too.

I like the jacket but not sure about the rolled up trousers and bow tie...

    Troughton mixed with Pertwee?

Every time there is a new Doctor there are complaints about the new costume. After a few episodes, most people won't even care, as long as the stories and performances are up to scratch! Personally, I quite like it, young Doctor with an old man's costume.

Thanks to the Mod who changed my thread title (and now makes your question look odd )

    BUT...

In Journey's End we get a regeneration and a new Doctor, so you could be counting the half human one as Doctor 10.2 or number 11

It's a bit drab but the bow tie and shirt might change every now and again.

It reminds me a little of...

It'll grow on me I expect. It's better than Ecclescake's.

I've just noticed he's wearing braces too:

The TARDIS looks a bit odd in that picture, maybe it's just the lighting. I don't mind the costume (although, again, the above picture isn't really showing it off that well I don't think). Not sure the bow tie needs to be a permanent fixture, but I don't hate it!!

Looks a bit like what a teacher who catches the same train as me wears.

Is it just me, or does the TARDIS look like a die-cast model?

It had better hum properly...or I'm writing to the BBC in disgust!

Pretty much my thought- looks like a bit of Hartnellish business going on with the hands there too.

Actually he looks like he's escaped from the special care ward at the local loony farm. Perhaps he's had a Pertwee like post-regeneration wardrobe malfunction.

    Well I can but hope!

Hmm, not sure about the costume.

I don't like the TARDIS at all. Aren't we gonna have the familiar glowing light from the window?

    I like! I like!

Actually, I get quite a Davison vibe from him even though the outfit is more of a Hartnell&Pertwee type. Also, by the look of the Tardis and the companion I'm also getting a very, very retro vibe from the 60's.

    Okay, I'm officially hugely excited

Looking again, first time around I didn't spot the very Troughtonesque braces.
