I reckon he'll be pretty chuffed anyway.
For every fail, there is an equal and opposite win.

The Davison era is nearly complete, isn't it? This just leaves Frontios, The Awakening, and a Kinda/Snakedance set unless I've miscalculated.

I was watching 'Caves' at the weekend and my immediate thought was "Oh no, the titles aren't remastered"

Hurrah! It'd be nice if Kameleon got a little documentary and they included his scene from "The Awakening" as well.

Apparently it survived on a timecoded VHS in JNT's collection so I expect it'll appear.

That's great news I'm not that bothered about The Kings Demons but Planet of Fire is a cracking story

sorry it's a bit to early to be thinking but with this release am I correct in thinking that will only leave Kinda, Snakedance and The Awakening

Blimey! That's an unexpected boxset for sure, though I suppose it does make a kind of sense to get them both out together- both featuring Kamelion and the Master. I hope Ant Ainley gets the centre spot on the box- he's far better than the rubbish robot.

I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

No law, but I'd be very surprised from a sales point of view. There's very little I can think of to include on 'The Awakening' to sell it otherwise. Perhaps a 'Liver Birds in Doctor Who' featurette unless 'Kinda' gets in first.
Seriously though, I guess we'll see soon enough, but the other thing that suggests to me against it is that the RT have been rather in keeping with having 'contemporary' extras (ie. as close to the tx date as possible).“If my sons did not want wars, there would be none.” - Gutle Schnaper Rothschild

no confirmation as to weather or not this will be a 2009 release but with so little info or confirmation of a release date for Frontier/Planet of the Daleks I just wonder if this one will take it's place as the December release.

It's a lovely thought, having the entire Davison era on dvd. I'm looking forward to this.
-
28th Jul 2009, 8:29 PM #25Given the video was released with Frontios it is possible it could happen again? Thus neatly avoiding trying to sell a 'dull' story on its own.
