Hardly a tragedy if they save a good story till the end.
And still no Day of The Daleks!Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

Poor old Day - at 23 years plus since its original release on VHS, it must be the release with the biggest gap from VHS to DVD. Even the unedited version came out in, what, 1995? Almost 15 years ago!

I think we might have seen it sooner if RSC and the other restoration projects hadn't worked out quite so well- one of the reasons why it came out when it did was that in the early days of the range, BBC Video were very wary of anything that wasn't a four-part all-625 line story.

I prefer The Sun Makers to Seeds Of Doom. Any day.

I'm not sure, on the one hand you have a Megaglobal Corporation who tax the life out of you, on the other some nasty spores that grow into huge green vegetable monsters. But which one is best?
There's only one way to find out...
FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT!

How nice that we'll have all of Season 15 out on DeeVeeDee.
It's such a great season with such exciting and well made stories.

It'd be like Horror of Fang Rock; no-one would come out alive.

Or like "Invasion of Time" - a promising start, a bit silly in the middle and the less said about the end the better.

I nearly accidentally killed Dexter with the film trims from that... he went like Pertwee in Planet episode one.
Which would make me Jo with the rings'n'tings, which is fine by me!

"London never looked spookier"...could he mean Terror of the Zygons?

Funny, I don't tend to think of 89-96 as the Wilderness Years - partly, it was a good 12 months I guess before it really sunk in that it might not be back, then there was the launch of the NAs, the threat of Dark Dimension, the reality of Dimensions in Time, not to mention so many previously unseen olde stories coming out on video... 96 onwards, as we crept past the year 2000 with not a whiff of a new show, that to me was far more 'wilderness'.

I tend to remember the opposite - the early nineties were wretched because I was growing up into a card-carrying Doctor Who fan but I had no show to watch. These were the letter writing years, the hope for the Dark Dimension that was cruelly dashed, and ultimately that ended when we got the TV Movie, after which everyone seemed to have learned to live with a new "brand" that wasn't actually associated with a new TV show.
