I wonder if they're re-restoring The Lion for an upcoming B&W release? That was the epsiode which had the notorious tramline scratch throughout, I think.

It could be any episode, tram line scratches are quite common. I can't think why "The Lion" would come out again.

My guess is he's found a scratch on "The Sensorites" or (woop) "The Tenth Planet" and one of those is being prepped.

Doctor Who DVD release Land is going to be VERY interesting indeed in about 2 years time isn't it.

I'd be supprised if the Auton, box set was released straight after Planet of the Spiders, as that would mean 3 out of the 4 releases so far this year would of been a 3rd Doctor story.

Doctor Who Magazine has issued a provisional schedule for the remaining stories to be released in the classic Doctor Who DVD range.

There are 24 stories that still exist and have yet to be released on DVD, all of which are expected to be available by the show's 50th anniversary in 2013.

The more I read the above the more I realise it tells you absolutely nothing!

We know what stories have been released, and that they intend to release them all, so we could have worked out a list of what's left ourselves. All the "unplaced" ones are liable to fit around the 2012 stories anyway. So this doesn't really tell us anything other than that some of the stories may come out next year.

They haven't even noted that Dragonfire and The Happiness Patrol are coming out in a box together, which has been previously confirmed.

I agree, it's just a list of stories really, which DWM is kind of presenting as a big reveal!

What's most 'interesting' I think is that it would suggest there'll be no more classic series releases this year after September!

The last three classic series releases of 2010:

13th September – Time and the Rani
4th October – Revisitations 1
25th October – The Seeds of Doom

It's possible there might be a "surprise release" this coming October; however, 2011 will already have had one more regular release slot - as well as a second Revisitations slot over and above the single re-release slot last year - beyond 2010, so it could well be that Revisitations 3 is the final release of the year, in October.
