    Default Duet Impossible

How can there not be a thread for this??? Did anyone catch this Vernon Kay hosted disaster on Christmas Eve on BBC1?

Using "cutting edge" technology to allow modern day stars/singers to sing with dead people, highlights included Boy George sing "alongside" himself, and even more amazingly, it allowed katie Melua to sit on a stool in front of a large tv screen playing an Eva Cassidy video! Possibly the worst tv show I've ever seen.....

The body double for the Marvin Gaye longshots was good too.

Expect a full series to follow later in the year when they can't find anything better for Kay to do.

If there was one person i didn't want to see murdering the harmonies on an Eva Cassidy song, it was Katie Melua.

I can't even finish typing her name before i fall asleep. Has she ever made any record that vaguely has any life in it?
I don't mean Eva Cassidy, i mean Katie Mel..

I was planning to start a Duet Impossible/Just The Two Of Us/Soapstar Superstar/Vernon Kay Might Be Lovechild Of Ed "Stewpot" Stewart, But He's Still A ****/Tess Daly Is Worth A Pop For A 50-Year-Old Mega Thread on Friday. You've destroyed my dreams!!

Eva Cassidy was a pub singer and Smelua is a moustachioed pub singer.

It's like a spoof or something from Alan Partridge. I expect.

Awful, awful. Shame on Boy George who has become a gross drunken parody whenever he appears on telly.

It was a pretty bad show, wasn't it?

The Boy George/Boy George 'duet' was among the most pointless three-minutes of television ever.

And, despite my love of the Melua, even I have to admit that it wasn't her finest moment...

As you saying you'd like to see her tied to the rails and watch a slow train rolling up the track?

Or would you rather see her killed my 8 million bicycles running over her.

Crazy chick has murdered a The Cure song, she must be stopped.

Is this the same technology which allowed Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey to perform a duet together (two singers who supposedly can't stand each other) ...
