The toher week I bought a copy of the new massive tome from Big Finish- the long delayed Bernice Summerfiled- The Inside Story.

It's similiar to the New Audio Adventures book BF brought out a few years back- lots of text, not much colour (well any in fact, aside from the cover) but full of really interesting stuff.

The early part is a rather fascinating look at the New Adventures, with contributions from the authors and from prominent people in the Benny story- so mlots of Gray Russell and Paul Cornell, who are frighteningly honest in their opinions. Who knew, for example, that Gary Russell gave up the DWM review column because he found it hard to be positive about the NAs every month?
Then we have the slow decline of the Benn range discussed in full before the BF stuff starts and the crew behind them speak honestly about the many disagreements behind the scenes, as well as all the successes they've had.

I haven't finished it yet, but this is highly recommended, even just for the history of the NAs.
