According to Dan Hall, the second confirmed Revisitation is Talons...

    Whoopee....

I'm starting to think the biggest plus point of this boxset will mean a handful (more) of stories will have a matching BBC logo on the spine.

What was/is wrong with Talons? I don't have many of the DVDs, but I've got that one and I can't recall any problems or shortcomings with it.

Me neither. I'd much prefer a re-release of Carnival of Monsters, or The Ark in Space, due to the paltry extras on both.

I don't think there's a documentary on the original "Talons". I bet there is on the new version!

It's a shame that half the cast and the director have died since the original version.

You have that wonderful Melvyn Bragg documentary though? Loved it since it was shown on BSB all those years ago. I'd like to see what this "Revisitation" can do to compete with that release?

Could they get Melvyn Bragg in for the commentary if he's still about? The existing commentary for Talons was pretty dull.

We already have two signed copies of The Talons of Weng Chiang in our house.
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

But as that was made 33 years ago, there just might be more to say.

No-one seems to have suggested it yet, but it's quite possible they could get Tom to contribute this time around....?

but it still has a reasonable amount of extras - I'd of thought it would make more sense to concentrate on those early releases that had no extras at all.

The third and final title in this set has just been announced by Dan Hall on Twitter.....it's Caves Of Androzani.

Was that on anybody's "expected" list? I somehow imagined this set as being really early releases like Robots and Spearhead, with a bit more 'making of...' stuff, and probably a Vidfired Tomb. Talons & Caves are already pretty good releases aren't they?

Well, that's 3 of the early releases that probably didn't actually need to be revisted at all. What a waste of the potential of this set.

Why not, what else have you got to get excited about tonight Si? We won't know who killed Archie until Friday.

Caves doesn't have a major making of documentary; there are lots of people who could be interviewed for the new release. And we'll get a nicer cover. So there.
