Since when did the 90's officially become The Wilderness Years?
I'm annoyed because they are going to make us buy these DVDs again, but more annoyed because they've made me look forward to getting them! This set sounds really good.Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

I'm ok with Caves and the tv movie, as the original releases didn't have any extras but Talon's is IMO, a con as the original release already had a reasonable amount of extras and what has been added could easely of been put on a different story. I'd of personaly much prefered to of seen a re-release of a story that had no extras on it's original issue.

I'd have no qualms with waiting until these come cheap. Unless it's some kind of limited edition.

I can take or leave the TVM, but the others look good. Won't be rushing to get the set, though.
I'd prefer to see the likes of Spearhead, Ark in Space and Robots of Death though - I do hope they will be revisted at some point!

I'm not going to lose sleep over it, but I think the title 'Special Edition' is a bit misleading (just as with the earlier Remembrance of the Daleks re-release). The story itself is 'just' the same old story, it's only the DVD release itself that is 'special' compared to the previous one. It's just, I think, a bit inaccurate - it's OK for us fans in the know, but it's not that obvious otherwise is it?
And, it's no better, no worse, and no less orangey than the original cover. Why bother?!
Grumble mumble rassafrassa...

Probably something like 'Deluxe Edition' would have been a better name for them, similar to how CD re-releases are titled.

I guess it just seems, to me anyway, open for confusion - because the same DW DVD range already has The Five Doctor Special Edition (which is different to the original) and The Curse of Fenric Special Edition (likewise) and even the Battlefield Special Edition (and again). So I could certainly see a few fans buying this and not getting what they expect...
...although it's quite possible the outside box won't make any reference to Special Editions at all, in which case perhaps not!

I'm going to moan about Special Edition again of course, but that aside... I really like that cover, and if anything tempted me to buy this odd set of three it would be the TV Movie.
