    Default Is This Normal?

This is a screen grab of PS, as viewed from our new PC/monitor:

The image above is not squashed or compressed. It's an exact 100% screen grab. Do you see what's not quite right? Either the font is something very obscure or the text is crushed or compressed. The shape of the letters isn't smooth, it's blocky. Have we got a display setting wrong? Or is this normal?

Everything else (icons, pictures etc.) is fine, it's just the web page texts seem very... blocky.

You can change the browser font in Tools > Appearance, but it seems set to Courier/Latin which should surely be ok. Or can anyone recommend a good font I should be using?

    Si.

Not sure if this answers the question, but that's how ours has always looked.

Well it looks blocky to me! So are there some display settings that are wrong? It didn't look this way on our old computer!

Can't see any difference to what I normally see there.

Of course, now I'm burning with a desire to know what's in the 51 threads hidden in the secret Shada section !!

Yes, must be something to do with your new PC. Will have a look at it for you in a couple of weeks if you like

    Ah! I know that voice!

I noticed this - but the newer versions of Windows do more anti-aliasing on the text. The website is exactly the same, it's only the way the PC is drawing the font that's changed
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

    Me too!

And what's that other section that was cut off by the screengrab?
