That's what exactly what I thought Si!
I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

From your responses, I can only guess that the Daleks are back?
Either that or the Doctor is snogging someone.Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

I assume Steve is avoiding the spoileriness, in which case I'd be amused to hear his tactic for not seeing the DWM front cover before the season launches!
I guess it's all good for publicity. Inside, Moffatt is all "We really mean it this time, honest!". Whatever!

The magazine is bound to be posted through our front door in the next few days. Perhaps I could focus on our Lego model of Tower Bridge (still going on!) and the phenomenonly dull issue of Mojo that Si brought home last Friday.
Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

One major Doctor Who site just tweeted to say:
"Before anyone cries spoilers, just remember three of those characters died last season as well!"
Says it all really. It's sort of what they deserve for all the tricks with it last year. Now they want to do it for real, it has absolutely no effect because it doesn't shock anymore. It's just a bit of a joke, really.

It might be the Doctor, in some kind of timey-wimey alternative way (my guess being that the bearded Doctor under arrest in the trailer is a 'second' Doctor from another timeline) - and if not, it'll be Rory I'm sure.
Mind you, I'd really like to hope it's River Song because although I may be in the minority I just cannot stand the character.

Got my DWM today - alas, I seem to have got the River cover (curse her) but never mind! I see a Mr S D Hunt has a letter in this month's Galaxy Forum...

Where-as I looked for the River cover but couldn't find it!
And yes, I sneaked in again!

I got Rory. I wonder if that's a portent of deaths to come...

I almost picked up one with one of the crap companions on the front.
Narrow escape there then.

One of them will deffo die. Thinking back to the 'Coming Soon' trailer, it isn't clear which episodes all the clips will be from. So there's no clues there.

We got River. I'd hoped for the Doctor or Rory really, but you don't get a choice when you subscribe (but the mag is cheaper, so it's swings and roundabouts!)
I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

I got Rory. And congrats to JR and SD! Was expecting to see comments from Mr Curnow on AOL as I recall it's a a bit of a favourite of his - maybe WW3?
Actually, the new Time Team were rather harsh on AOL!

I don't always like his stuff, but I thought Gary Gillatt's review of Mara Tales was spot on this issue. He really got to nub of why these are great stories (well I think they are too) and was better for not having the little snide asides he often puts in.
I've just got my handcuffs and my truncheon and that's enough.

Just got the first issue of Panini's North American Doctor Who Insider today. It's a bit like Doctor Who Adventures but less fun. At £4.50 a pop (or somewhere thereabouts) don't think I'll bother again!

Finally got my issue yesterday and was astonished at GG's review. Clearly the man has no sense of irony, since we learn
- that he loves Kinda and Snakedance
- that he believes it is wrong to nitpick over stories that he likes
- that he slates the extras because people dare to express opinions which are different to his
and yet he did all of those in his hateful Meglos review not all that long ago.
I laughed aloud at his statement that Manussa is so well depicted as a planet that you could imagine it outside the story - how on earth does he claim that when we see nothing except all the pieces needed for the Mara's return ?
I like these stories but even I wouldn't dare write such a one sided review based on that.
I did like his putting the boot into New Hoo though - I wonder if the DWM editors read his review closely enough before publication ?Bazinga !
