Blimey! Not far off the next big milestone are we?

Got this today, very striking cover isn't it. And a quick flick through suggests it's going to be quite a good issue I think.

There's certainly plenty of interest in this issue. I'm loving the history of Doctor Who on video.

Yes it looks far better than the previous couple of issues on cursory glance. The letters page have been missing the Curnow Contribution for a while though!

I'll see what I can do Dave!
I've just remembered, I don't think I've voted in the Season Survey... and the deadline's tonight!!

A really enjoyable issue. Some very interesting articles in this one. The Videotape history is great stuff - I'd never seen some of Colin Howard's alternative covers before.
Holy mackerel. I'm even enjoying the comic strip at the moment.Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

I'm loving the history of Who on videotape too. The alternate covers are good to see. I wonder if they were scheduled to come out after Hand of Fear and then scrapped?

I thought it was a great issue this month. Loved all the TV Movie stuff, especially the new, unexpected photos of Gordon Tipple's Master!
Not long till the big 500 now.

The fact that they managed to squeeze a 2-page interview from Gordon Tipple, a man whose one line was deleted, and that they managed to make it entertaining shows that there's life in DWM yet.
Also - best comic strip they've had in donkey's years. The jokes made me laugh and it looked pretty cool. Amazing.Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

And next month the BIG 500!

Good thing the cover is great because the contents look appalling. Ohila might be the Doctor's mother? A Doctor Who Wedding guide? Great!

And just when we thought that the Doctor's mum was either Clare Bloom's End Of Time character or Davros...
Not being a Warriors' Gate fan, it does sound as though they're saving the good stuff for next month...

Don't, it just means they're desperate to print something.

Who's this Curnow fella, anyway...? At least he's consistent!

It's an absolutely gorgeous issue- both magazines. A really worthy way to celebrate the big 500! I've still got loads to read, but Jonny Morris's retrospective look at the mag was really lovely and quite touching (and funny) in places.

And it mentions Andrew! (There's a familiar name in the letters page as well...)

I enjoyed JM's retro too - just read up to Moff's interview which was both candid and engaging. You can tell he's leaving - he was quite critical of the Beeb and radiotimes.com
Although Tom Baker's interview was quite gushing, it still left you with a warm cosy glow! I love how he signs his emails "Old Tom"
