Matty, gay? I'm shocked!
I think he's wonderful! My favourite bit is Peter Davisons "surprisingly developed bitchy streak" and "That would only be true if Matthew was a retard, which he wasn't."

It was a very good interview I thought. He came across really well despite not liking being interviewed and well maybe, just maybe he might be a bit rehabilitated by fandom. His book looks rather interesting despite the pretentious third person narrative.
Doctor Whoah! made me laugh for the first time ever this month. Wowsers!

I started reading the Matthew article, but I'll need to wrench the mag away from Si before I can finish it.
Who knows? Maybe they'll publish a similar article in 20 years time revealing the truth about Freema?
And it was great to see Paul McGann make a return to the comic strip! (I know I keep banging on about the comic and I'm sorry. Honest.)Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

Great cover, hopefully it should be a good interview with Mr McCoy. As a big fan of the seventh Doctor seasons, I think he was unfairly maligned both at the time (particularly during S24) and since. Although, in reference to that cover quote, I think Colin probably got an even unfairer crack of the whip. As it were.

Poor old Paul McGann got and even less fair crack!
That's what annoyed me the most about Christopher Eccleston leaving. After three Doctors in a row whom got cut off before they could finish the role we had someone who chose to leave and make it four in a row!

Who the hell is that on the cover of DWM?!!!?!?!
Actually, I don't recall seeing that exact photo before. It's pretty good and I like what they've done with the colour.Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

A decidedly average issue. You feel quite sorry for Sylvester, but really his interview had a whole lot less to say than Matthew Waterhouse's last issue. Mildly amused at the comic strips attempt to shock but not enough to read it, and the review seemed to think it was clever/kind by not even attempting to review "Silver Nemesis" (but isn't that what you are here for?).

Although I agree that the DVD reviews nowadays tend to be too much 'running through the plot while the writer tries to be funny', and the McCoy interview was very long without that much 'new' content, nevertheless I'm really enjoying this issue. The Timey-Wimey piece was a good read, as is the Shakespeare Code F of F. And I quite like the new strip - interesting new outfit Amy's wearing there...

Well if that's an average issue of DWM then I'm interesting in reading a more engrossing one?
I learned stuff I didn't know about Sylvester McCoy. I'm glad he's not as bitter as some would imgine him to be. But then, has there been a single actor to play the part who doesn't look back fondly?
...Ok maybe Colin Baker, but that's down to how he was handled than how he worked!
And yes, the reviewer has no place to be making remarks about the episodes when he writes like that!

Ten years ago that would have been the lead feature!

The Sylvester interview was interesting more for the stuff on his early life than for the Who content. He's been given a hard time down the years from the fans and there's no doubt that that's hurtful, but as Si said he didn't really have much new to say, which was a shame in an interview promoted as his most in depth ever.
And I agree about the Silver Nemesis review. Terrible.

Just begging for a caption:

Given that they normally print half the contents page on the cover, it looks like #425 is a bit thin on the ground.Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

How strange to see a 60's Cyberman on the cover (Tomb version isn't it?) It looks a bit like a costume replica, but I could be wrong.
