John Simm looks about ten years younger than he did last time he was in Who.

In truth all three look like they've just had a week long bed in with Abi Titmuss.

And only Simm looks as though he may have enjoyed it.

A week in bed with Abi Titmuss may have taken 10 years off me, mark you...

    I've met Abi Titmuss.

    Chester danced with her.

I'd do more than dance with her.

Is that some kind of cheap metaphor Mr Wallis?

Only a truly clever and hilarious writer would use "dancing" as a metaphor for sex.

I know, she was clever, Carla Lane, wasn't she? Or whoever it was who wrote the lyrics to The Liver Birds theme.

Picked it up today (my newsagent is always a day early) and the big news is that the DWM logo will change to the new 2010 logo as of DWM #417... also, subscription prices have been slashed until 7th January - only £35 for 13 issues! I'm going for it.

There's a really interesting interview with Nabil Shaban, in which he basically says he has boycotted TV since 2003 (not that anyone will employ him, he says its a conspiracy), has only seen half an hour of the New Series (Dalek, which he didn't like) and has written several times to RTD/the Dr Who production team asking for Sil to be brought back. He then goes on to call Jonathan Ross (who called Nabil "the most boring person I've ever had the misfortune to interview") a creep. Classic stuff, though he does come across as rather unlikeable.

Oh, and RTD's Production Notes are genius.

I don't want to get a reputation for optimism, but... he looks just perfect in that cover picture, just The Doctor. Excellent!

Looks funky! I was really hoping this would be waiting for me tonight as the cover and contents were a mystery, but never mind.

Random thought - almost 20 years after it stopped being a monthly, I'm fairly sure this is the first time they've actually mentioned on the front cover that it comes out every four weeks!

I still think he has the look of Martin Penny.

I haven't seen much posting from Martin recently - and you never see him and Smitty together. Maybe...

Has anyone else not received their DWM yet? This is the first issue of my very first subscription and it's still not come throught the post. Admittedly, we've not had a lot of mail lately, but there can surely only be so many delays caused by the snow!

It might be my first subscription issue too. Probably not though - having spent a year helping build a direct debit system I know how long it takes to set a DD up. I'm confident it'll be active by March though.
Dennis, Francois, Melba and Smasher are competing to see who can wine and dine Lola Whitecastle and win the contract to write her memoirs. Can Dennis learn how to be charming? Can Francois concentrate on anything else when food is on the table? Will Smasher keep his temper under control?

If only the 28th century didn't keep popping up to get in Dennis's way...
