    Default Texts from numbers I don't know...

    In the past ten or so minutes, I've had about five texts from "8..." and "6..." numbers, with all this crap about entering competitions and stuff, I'm just rather worried tbh, as I have no idea how they got hold of my number... :/

    I occasionally get a text with a picture message of a decent looking girl, followed by her personal statistics and a short message asking me to text her for some fun. Obviously some scam, not got a clue how they have my number, but I just delete them. After having a good look at the picture, obviously

    Is it best just to block the number and delete the text without even reading it?

    Not sure how you go about blocking numbers for mobiles to be honest! I'm pretty sure you can't be charged for opening and reading a received text.

    Have you tried contacting your mobile company? Maybe they can do something about it?
    Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

    You'd be surprised - although I don't believe any UK operators do it, if you don't have a text message plan then some mobile operators over here will charge you for texts received. Which means that some malicious third party could well send you a thousand texts, and you'd be responsible for the fees owed as a result.
