Updating Drivers
Is there a good free program for checking to see if all your drivers are up to date, and installing updates if they are required?

The obvious facetious reply would be 'Windows'. Things like USB devices, hard drives and so on are all updated automatically.
I believe that other device drivers such as Printers, Sounds and Graphics cards have to be sorted out individually.
Are you having a specific problem with any device?Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

No, it's not me it's actually someone at work who wanted to know if I had a driver updater to recommend. I didn't, but I wondered if anyone on here had. Before I posted here I did some research and found that, as you say, Windows Service Manager is the first stop - incredibly, some "driver updaters" you pay for actually do nothing more than open this window! However, there are a few that you can get that are apparently quite good and he paid some money for one of these and solved his problem.
