    Remembered for his regular role in Doctor Who in the early 1980s, Matthew Waterhouse has written two dark and humourous novels set in New York. We are proud to be publishing these along with his brilliantly told "Doctor Who : Time Regained - A Memoir in Four Episodes" - which covers both Matthew's boyhood interest in Doctor Who, and his two seasons playing Adric alongside Tom Baker and Peter Davison.

    Matthew has already self-published his first novel ('Fates, Flowers') in New York, however this is a brand new publication for the UK, complete with a new cover which will compliment its sequel, 'Vanitas'.
    Well this is an interesting development indeed! Thanks to Hirst Books, Matthew Waterhouse is getting published!

    Fair play to him, I say. If he's any good, he should make a success of it.
    Pity. I have no understanding of the word. It is not registered in my vocabulary bank. EXTERMINATE!

    I'm always a bit wary of anything "self-published" since a friend kind of persuaded me to buy an online copy of their book ... which was not the best. They were actually working on the 3rd volume of it ... where I thought surely they needed just to rewrite what they'd done so far.

    I bet his Dr Who memoirs will sell though. Shame it couldn't have a more punchy title like "The Adric Memoirs: No-one likes a know-it-all".
    Remember, just because Davros is dead doesn't mean the Dalek menace has been contained ......

    I think we should all take his stories with a pinch of sodium chloride.
    Dennis, Francois, Melba and Smasher are competing to see who can wine and dine Lola Whitecastle and win the contract to write her memoirs. Can Dennis learn how to be charming? Can Francois concentrate on anything else when food is on the table? Will Smasher keep his temper under control?

    If only the 28th century didn't keep popping up to get in Dennis's way...

    Gordon: But David Tennant was a popular Doctor, and now they've got this new guy.

    Adviser: Exactly, new guy, new logo - ker-ching, we've a whole new line of merchandise to push now.
