I'd been surprised not to notice anyone talking about this over the last few weeks....should have guessed you'd gotten in there first!
Agree with everything you said. With three episodes to go, it's firmly planted itself in there as my second favourite show of the year so far, behind Dallas, but ahead of Doctor Who. Credit to Channel 4 where it's due, it's quite bold to show a subtitled show in such a primetime slot these days...“If my sons did not want wars, there would be none.” - Gutle Schnaper Rothschild

I watched a few odd episodes from Season 3. Sarcophagus... it doesn't get much odder than that!

Did anybody else see Count Arthur Strong on Beeb Two? It's got the makings of a comedy classic!

No, but I read yesterday it's been commissioned for a second series, AIUI. Something to do with Graham Linehan, isn't it?

A Very Peculiar Practice series 2. Callan (which is excellent, if somewhat dark) and Crossroads are the main things at the moment.
Oh and I might be the one and only person who laughs like a drain at every episode of Count Arthur Strong.
