I've been watching Les Revenants, a new French series which is due to be shown on Channel Four later on in the year. And it's absolutely amazing stuff, beautifully shot and acted with an amazing soundtrack by Mogwai, but the best thing about it is the complex but incredibly intriguing plot. It's best to go in cold so I won't say anything more, but when it does arrive on C4 I'd recommend everyone watch it, it's already become one of my all time favourite series.

I'd been surprised not to notice anyone talking about this over the last few weeks....should have guessed you'd gotten in there first!

Agree with everything you said. With three episodes to go, it's firmly planted itself in there as my second favourite show of the year so far, behind Dallas, but ahead of Doctor Who. Credit to Channel 4 where it's due, it's quite bold to show a subtitled show in such a primetime slot these days...

I watched season 1 of Blake's 7 before I went to America, now I'm back I've started season 2.

Did anybody else see Count Arthur Strong on Beeb Two? It's got the makings of a comedy classic!

No, but I read yesterday it's been commissioned for a second series, AIUI. Something to do with Graham Linehan, isn't it?

A Very Peculiar Practice series 2. Callan (which is excellent, if somewhat dark) and Crossroads are the main things at the moment.

Oh and I might be the one and only person who laughs like a drain at every episode of Count Arthur Strong.
